E-Mails Show Utilities Unprepared For Feb. Storm

New information on the communication between El Paso Water Utilities and El Paso Electric during last month’s winter storm.

The El Paso Times Reported Saturday morning that they have obtained e-mails between the two utilities that demonstrate a lack of coordination.

The e-mails, written during the peak of the crisis, according to the newspaper, show that a critical water-control station was not included in a list of locations to be exempt from the rolling blackouts El Paso Electric instituted.

The El Paso Times article also mentions discrepancies between what utility officials said during ABC-7 Xtra and in the e-mails.
