Police Investigate Overnight Stabbing

El Paso police are investigating what led to a man being stabbed.

Officers were called out to the Warren Terrace Apartments at 4870 N. Mesa St. at 10:50 pm Wednesday. Officials say they were called out to help with the burglary of a vehicle.

When police arrived, they found a man inside an apartment with multiple stab wounds. Officials haven’t specified how many times the man was stabbed. The victim was taken to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

“Crimes Against Persons is still trying to determine the sequence of events,” said Darrel Petry, spokesman for the El Paso Police Department. “Then we can actually determine what we have as far as the nature of the call, the nature of the incident and what crime has been committed.”

Police haven’t released the name or age of the victim.
