Plane Forced To Return To El Paso Airport After Problems

An American Airlines plane was forced to return to El Paso International Airport after experiencing mechanical problems.

According to Liz Bellegarde, El Paso airport spokeswoman, American Airlines flight 2238 from Dallas to El Paso experienced problems when the left engine failed.

The plane was able to land safely in El Paso on runway 22 . No injuries were reported and the plane taxied safely to the gate. The cause of the engine failure is under investigation.
