Investigators: Man Arrested In Sparks Stash House Bust

Investigators found 21 bundles of marijuana hidden in a Sparks home, according to El Paso police.

Sparks is just off Horizon Boulevard in far east El Paso County.

A police spokesman told ABC-7 the discovery was made Tuesday at around 4:25 p.m. on the 12700 block of Shakespeare Drive.

Investigators said the marijuana, weighing 30.05 pounds, was stashed in a bedroom closet.

Investigators said they also found 1.5 grams of pot in a kitchen cabinet.

Felipe Griego, 46, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana over 5 pounds and under 50 pounds and possession of a controlled substance. That controlled substance was less than a gram of cocaine, according to investigators.

Griego was booked into the El Paso County Jail under bonds totaling $33,000.

The investigation was conducted by the West Texas High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Stash House Unit.
