Neon Desert Fans Encouraged To Use Sun Metro Bus To Get To Festival
Sun Metro is supporting the Neon Desert Music Festival on Saturday, April 30, by providing bus service to the Downtown festival.
Attendees looking to enjoy an incredible sonic experience and avoid parking in the Downtown area can carpool and park at the Glory Road Parking Garage, 100 E. Glory Road and board Sun Metro?s SMART 101. Buses will be running every 20 minutes beginning at 8 a.m. until 11:45 p.m.
Sun Metro bus fare is $1.50 per trip, per person. RIDERS ARE REMINDED TO HAVE EXACT CHANGE FOR ALL SUN METRO FAREBOXES. While the farebox can issue change cards, drivers do not have access to currency.
SMART 101 buses will drop off riders on the corner of Missouri and Oregon; and pick up riders heading back home at the corner of Santa Fe and Franklin.
Parking at the Glory Road Transfer Center is $2 for the first hour and $1 for every additional hour, with the maximum parking fee of $10.
Music lovers wishing to ACT AND SAVE GREEN can ride the bus directly from their home to the festival, or use one of Sun Metro?s free park and ride lots. The free lots are located at the Westside Transfer Center, 7535 Remcon; East Side Transit Terminal, 1165 Sunmount; Northgate Transit Terminal, 9348 Dyer; and Mission Valley Transfer Center, 9065 Alameda.
Plan your bus ride online from home or any park-and-ride location by using Google Transit?s Trip Planner on the Sun Metro Web site at www.elpasotexas.gov/sunmetro OR call (915)533-3333 to talk to a customer service representative.
