Officers Deliver Baby In Parking Lot Of Lower Valley Substation
Officers assigned to the Mission Valley Regional Command Center assisted in the delivery of baby Tuesday night in the parking lot of the substation.
Police said a supervisor was met in the parking lot about 10:20 p.m. by the father-to-be, who said his wife was inside their car and was about to have a baby.
Two patrol officers tended to the woman, who was in active labor, police said. The officers noticed that the delivery was imminent and instructed the mother to push.
The baby and mother were transported to an area hospital in good condition.
