Woman Accused Of DWI Had 2 Children In Vehicle, Police Say

A woman accused of driving drunk had two children in the car when she sped away from officers and spun out of control, police said

Police said 27-year-old Natalie Gonzales, who was driving a silver 2002 Mitsubishi Montero in the 7000 block of Bellrose Drive, nearly collided into another car shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday. When officers attempted to stop her, they said, she accelerated the Montero, causing it to spin out of control and come to a stop facing the other way on the road.

Gonzales, of the 8300 block of Roseway Drive, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger under 15. Police said she also had an outstanding theft warrant. Gonzalez was booked into the El Paso County Jail, with bond set at $3,292.
