Man Sought In Aggravated Sexual Assault

Police are looking for a man they say used a knife to cut a woman’s throat before sexually assaulting her at his home early Thursday.

Police said 30-year-old Christian Elihu Montalvo met the woman a bar on the 9200 block Gateway East Boulevard and took her to his home on the 3500 block of Rivera Avenue. A warrant for aggravated sexual assault has been issued for his arrest

Police said Montalvo released the victim after the incident, at which point she was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Montalvo was driving a blue 1997 Ford Explorer during the incident, but also drives a green mid-1990s Ford Contour, police said.

Investigators with the El Paso Police Department’s Crime Against Persons unit say Montalvo is known to frequent Juarez, and may also frequent other bars and restaurants throughout El Paso.

Anyone who may have encountered Montalvo in the past or may know about his whereabouts is asked to call police at 915-832-4400.
