Former Juarez Police Chief Slain In Chihuahua City
A former head of police for Chihuahua City and the Juarez was been shot to death.
Chihuahua state prosecutors spokesman Carlos Gonzalez said the motive in the killing of Jose “Cuco” Ruvalcaba Plascencia is still under investigation.
Gonzalez says he knew of no threats against the former official, but noted that Ruvalcaba Plascencia had operated a private security company after leaving government service.
Gonzalez said Thursday that Ruvalcaba Plascencia was shot to death at a restaurant in the Chihuahua state capital on Wednesday.
Ruvalcaba Plascencia was head of Chihuahua City police in the 1990s and briefly was Juarez police chief in the early 2000s.
