Police Investigate Home Invasion

POLICE INVESTIGATE HOME INVASION THAT OCCURRED IN THE CITY’S NORTHEAST REGION

Date/Time: 08-11-11 @ 5:44a.m. Location: 9300 Hollings Street

Police are looking into El Paso Police are investigating an incident that occurred in a residence in Northeast El Paso. Officers responded to a home in the 9300 block of Hollings at around 5:45a.m. this morning.

Crimes Against Persons detectives are now investigating this case. At this time investigators believe a confrontation occurred after a group of people forced their way into the residence and confronted the occupants with a knife.

One of the occupants was able to fend of the attackers by arming themselves with a knife. One of the attackers sustained injuries to their arm. The attackers fled the residence and are now reported to be in Mexico.

Police have also learned that the involved persons were not strangers and in fact knew one another prior to this incident. No arrests have been made at this time and no other injuries have been reported.

The identities of those involved are not being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
