Chapin’s late rally not enough against Mayfield

Mayfield took a commanding 28-7 lead in the third quarter thanks to two first half touchdowns by Axten Franzoy.

The Trojans could not hold on.

Chapin answered with twenty consecutive points that was capped off with a touchdown with 19 seconds left in the game.

The point after was moved back after an excessive celebration call and the extra point was missed to give the Trojans a 28-27 victory.
