Massage Parlor Employees Accused Of Promoting Prostitution

Las Cruces police said that three women who were employed at a pair of massage parlors provided illegal services to male clientele.

Suk Cha, 62, Myung Hee Ok, 49, and Hyang Sook Kim, were arrested on suspicion of promoting prostitution and accepting earnings of a prostitute, according to investigators.

Police said Cha was arrested Wednesday, and Ok and Kim were arrested Thursday.

Las Cruces police, the FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement initiated search warrants on the Bally Hot Stone Spa and the Green Hot Stone Spa Wednesday.

Police said they had been investigating the businesses since April to determine if illegal services for men were taking place. Investigators said they discovered suspicious ads targeting only men for the businesses posted on the website Craigslist.

Cha was being held at the Dona Ana County Detention Center on Friday night with a cash-only bond set at $20,000, according to police. Ok and Kim were being held without bond.

Investigators said another female employee of the Green Hot Stone Spa was interviewed but has not been arrested or charged.
