Police: Armed Man, Woman Rob Man, Burglarize Home

El Paso police said a man and woman worked together to burglarize the home of a Northeast El Paso man at gunpoint early Friday morning.

Investigators said the incident occurred about 4:15 a.m. on the 9800 block of Goby Street.

Police said 20-year-old Rebecca Perez distracted the victim with conversation outside the home as 20-year-old Dante Aguirre sneaked up on the man with a gun.

Investigators said the pair then demanded property from the victim and proceeded to burglarize his home.

The suspects, police said, were tracked down later in the day Friday in Northeast El Paso and taken into custody.

Aguirre was arrested on suspicion of burglary of a habitation and aggravated robbery, with bond said at $65,000.

Perez was arrested on suspicion of burglary of habitation, aggravated robbery, assault on a public servant and resisting arrest. Police said she also had outstanding warrants for possession of marijuana, along with three outstanding municipal court warrants. Perez’s bonds totaled $44,678.

Police told ABC-7 that the pair’s arrest photos are currently unavailable as the investigation continues.
