Lights Out: Tips Sought In Park Vandalism

POLICE SEEK INFORMATION ABOUT PARK VANDALISM Crime Stoppers and the El Paso Police Department need your help in finding the person responsible for a city park blackout. There aren’t many details on the crime other than it occurred sometime after 8pm on on Sunday August 28th, 2011 at the Westside Sports Complex. What officers do know, is that the subject has extensive expertise in electrician work since the transformer box at the park was broken into in order to cut out and remove all the copper cables.

Not only did the vandalism cause $10,000 in damages but 5,000 families will be affected as well, due to the fact that the City Parks and Recreation Department has had to cancel all the youth soccer and football night games until further notice.
