Columbus Day Closures
Columbus Day is Monday Oct. 10.
?Emergency services such as police and fire in the region will not be affected by the holiday.
?Most banks and financial institutions will be closed. Check with your bank for hours of operations.
?No postal service.
?Most city of Las Cruces offices will be closed in observance of the Columbus Day holiday on Monday. Monday’s city council work session will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday inside city council chambers, 700 N. Main Street. The meeting will be broadcast live on CLC-TV Comcast cable channel 20 and online at clctv.com.
?All recreation and community centers including the Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center. Frenger Indoor Pool will be open for lap swim from 6-10 a.m., and for swim teams from 4-8 p.m.
?Solid Waste offices in Las Cruces will be closed, however, trash pickup will continue as normal, and the Foothills Landfill will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
?RoadRUNNER Transit offices are closed, however there will be regular bus service and Dial-A-Ride service.
?Senior programs in Las Cruceswill be closed.
?Branigan Library in Las Cruces will be closed.
?The South Central Solid Waste Authority Transfer Station and Recycling Center in Las Cruces will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
?All museums in Las Cruces will be closed
?The Animal Service Center of Mesilla Valley is also open for regular hours from 12-6 p.m.
?Most Dona Ana County offices will be closed Monday
?Administrative offices of the Doa Ana County Sheriffs Department will be closed.
?The first regular meeting of the Doa Ana County Board of Commissioners in October will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
