Police Search For Gunman Involved In Early-Morning Shooting

El Paso police are on the lookout for the gunman in an early-morning shooting that sent a man to the hospital.

The shooting occurred about 1:20 a.m. Thursday at the Players Billiard Parlor on the 4000 block of Dyer Street in Central El Paso.

Officers with the Northeast Regional Command who responded to the incident said the shooting happened outside of the bar in a parking lot.

Police said the victim, a 37-year-old man, suffered gunshot wounds to his inner right thigh. He was taken to University Medical Center and is expected to recover.

Officials say he was inside the bar prior to the shooting.

It is still unclear what led up to the shooting.

Meanwhile, the shooter is still on the run. Police say the suspect is driving a maroon four-door vehicle, possibly a Dodge Charger with 20-inch chrome rims.
