Woman Treated After Hit-And-Run In Socorro

A 33-year-old woman was stuck by a tan Ford F-150 about 8 a.m. Friday while she was walking on the crosswalk at Passmore and Alameda in Socorro.

Elvia Carrillo suffered abrasions to her her eye, cheek and her right knee.

She was treated at the scene, but refused to be taken to a hospital.

Police said they were working with witnesses and are looking for a 2005-2010 tan Ford F-150 with an extended cab. Witnesses said the truck initially stopped as if to render aid, but left the scene headed west on Alameda.

Police said they were treating the incident as a hit-and-run and charges could include felony failure to stop and render aid, a state jail felony.
