EPPD: Man Driving With A Child On His Lap Charged With 3rd DWI
El Paso police arrested 27-year-old Jose Pena for driving drunk with a small child on his lap.
According to EPPD it all started with a domestic disturbance call involving Pena.
Police say they were told Pena left the house with a small child in his blue Ford truck.
Once officers were able to track down Pena they found out this wasn’t the first time he got behind the wheel while intoxicated.
Pena was convicted of DWI twice in 2010.
Pena was arrested on charges of having three or more DWI convictions and abandoning or endangering a child. He also has several outstanding warrants. His bond was set at $21,000
