British Man Arrives In U.S. To Face Charges In El Paso He Sold Parts For Missile

A British man accused of plotting to sell missile components to Iran is headed to El Paso for his federal trial.

Christopher Tappin was handed over to U.S. Marshals in London on Friday and is now being extradited back to El Paso. The retired businessman is accused of trying to buy sophisticated $5,000 batteries in El Paso that belonged to the U.S. government and allegedly turned them over to Iran for its missile defense system.

Before leaving London Friday morning, Tappin denied any wrongdoing, and said he was upset with the British government for not helping him.
