Senate Debate To Air On StormTrack 24/7 Channel, Online Friday

It’s a hotly contested seat in the Lone Star state. This Friday there will be a debate between the Republican candidates vying for the U.S. Senate seat.

The seat is currently held by Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, who is not running for re-election.

The debate will air on the StormTrack 24/7 Channel (over the air channel 7.3 or Time Warner Cable channel 367) at 6 p.m. Friday. Candidates invited to participate in the Belo Debate are former Solicitor General Ted Cruz, Lt. Governor David Dewhurst, former network sports broadcaster and ESPN analyst Craig James, and former Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert.

John McCaa of WFAA-TV (Dallas-Fort Worth) will moderate a panel of journalists including: Sarah Forgany, KENS-TV (San Antonio); Greg Hurst, KHOU-TV (Houston); Tyler Sieswerda, KVUE-TV (Austin); and senior political writer Wayne Slater of The Dallas Morning News.
