City of El Paso Labor Day Holiday Operation Schedule
As a reminder, City Hall will be closed on Monday, September 3, 2012 and will re-open Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 7:00 a.m.
Additionally, the September 4, 2012 City Council Meeting has been canceled.

El Paso Collections Not Impacted by Labor Day Holiday
Landfill, Drop-off Sites Will Close
El Paso, Texas – The Labor Day holiday, September 3rd, will impact some solid waste operations for the City of El Paso Environmental Services Department.
Collections will operate as usual. Residents will have their garbage and recyclables collected on their scheduled collection day during this holiday week.
The Greater El Paso Landfill, at 2300 Darrington Road, will close in observation of the holiday. The landfill will resume regular hours, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Tuesday, September 4th.
The Citizen Collection Stations (CCS), or drop-off sites, will be closed as part of their regular schedule and in observation of the holiday. The sites are regularly open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
El Paso Libraries closed for Labor Day
All Public Library facilities will be closed on Monday, September 3, 2012 in observance of Labor Day. They will otherwise follow their regular schedules. For more information visit www.elpasolibrary.org
Labor Day Schedule for Sun Metro
El Paso, Texas-Sun Metro’s regular (fixed-route) and LIFT (paratransit) services will run on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Monday, Sept. 3, in observation of the Labor Day holiday.
The customer service line for fixed route also will work on a Sunday/Holiday schedule from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The administrative offices, the Eastside Transit Terminal ticket office (1165 Sunmount) and the Bert Williams Downtown Santa Fe Transfer Center ticket office (601 Santa Fe) will be closed.
All Sun Metro services and facilities will resume regular hours of operation on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

El Paso Zoo Opened on Labor Day
As a reminder, the El Paso Zoo will be open on Monday, September 03 for Labor Day.
Regular zoo hours are 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Ticket gate closes at 4 p.m.

Las Cruces City Hall and most other City of Las Cruces offices will be closed Monday, September 3rd for the Labor Day holiday. Emergency services such as fire and police will not be affected.

Note: City outdoor pools (East Mesa Bataan Memorial and Laabs Pool) are closed for the season.
The following services will remain open:
Trash collection will take place as normally scheduled.
The Foothillls Landfill will have normal hours of operation.
Most Dona Ana County offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, to allow employees to observe the Labor Day holiday. Emergency services and law enforcement in the field will not be affected, but the administrative offices of the Doa Ana County Sheriff’s Department will be closed.
Saturation patrols and checkpoints will be in place to apprehend impaired drivers.
