Man injured in I-10 wreck near Clint

I-10 East near Clint, Texas is down to just one lane as crews clean up the mess from a late morning wreck.

An El Paso County Sheriff’s spokeswoman said a TxDOT worker was driving on I-10 East in a TxDOT truck when he veered off the highway, went airborne, and crashed into an 18-wheeler that was on the shoulder of I-10 West.

The truck was carrying automobiles.

The TxDOT worker was stuck inside the wreckage and emergency crews had to use the “jaws of life” to extract him from the vehicle.

He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
