Man seriously injured after losing control of motorcycle

A man is in serious condition following a motorcycle accident in Northeast El Paso.

According to police, around 8 p.m. Saturday a man driving a motorcycle on the 11800 block of Dyer Street was thrown from his motorcycle after losing control.

The motorcycle was heading southbound when it crashed.

Officials said the unidentified male sustained serious head injuries. He was transported to University Medical Center.

At last check, the man’s injuries were considered life-threatening.

The incident closed down part of Dyer Street Saturday night, but it was reopened by Sunday morning.

According to a release, the accident is being investigated, but it is believed speed may be a factor. It is unknown if alcohol was a factor.
