Christmas Eve cold case remains unsolved

The El Paso police department is asking for the public for any information that would help them solve a 10-year-old Christmas Eve killing.

Police made the plea Friday in the unsolved killing of 44-year-old Fernando Martinez on December 23rd, 2003, at the company he owned and operated.

Martinez was found dead at Saygo Bakery Equipment Service at 2 p.m., about two hours after being visited by one or more people. Martinez was shot to death in the upper torso.

Anyone with any information on this murder is asked to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso.
