Father of suspended UTEP guard Ragland says ‘no comment’ to questions regarding suspension

The father of UTEP guard Jalen Ragland, who has been suspended from the team indefinitely, had no comment Monday night to several questions regarding his son.

ABC-7 Sports Director Asher Wildman spoke with Jalen’s father, Steve Ragland, but the family was mum on all topics.

When asked why his son was suspended Steve Ragland responded, “No comment.”

When asked if his son was being investigated by the FBI he replied, “We have been told not to comment.”

When asked if the Ragland family wanted to issue a statement about their son being suspended from the team, again, Ragland responded, “We have been told not to comment.”

Jalen Ragland and McKenzie Moore have been suspended from the team indefinitely, and the Miners begin Conference USA play Thursday night when they host Charlotte. Neither player is expected back with the team anytime soon.
