One Direction to perform at Sun Bowl Stadium in Sept. 2014

Boy band One Direction is set to bring its 2014 stadium tour to El Paso.

The band will perform at the Sun Bowl Stadium on Sept. 14, 2014. The North American stadium tour was announced Sunday by Live Nation and reported by several entertainment websites.

The announcement featured the band members posing in jerseys of the cities they’ll be playing in, including UTEP football jerseys in the El Paso picture.

Ticket prices and an on-sale date have not been announced.

One Direction will release its third studio album “Midnight Memories” on Monday in the U.S. which band members have described as having a “rockier” sound.

Sun Bowl Stadium has hosted several musical acts over the years including the Rolling Stones, U2, N’Sync, and Ricky Martin.
