UPDATE: Sheriff’s deputies find bodies of dead couple in Westway

Detectives with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the deaths of a couple in Northwest El Paso County Wednesday night.

According to the sheriff’s office, at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday deputies found a man and a woman dead inside a home in Westway.

Witnesses at the scene told ABC-7 the incident is a murder-suicide. The sheriff’s office has not confirmed that, but they did tell us that they are not searching for a suspect.

We have learned that the two were killed by gunshot, and that had been married for nearly 30 years. They leave behind three children including a 9 year old daughter.

Neighbors tell ABC-7 they heard the couple arguing outside their home regularly over the past few months.
