Reno comes back to beat Chihuahuas, 6-4

The Reno Aces beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 6-4 Sunday in a back and forth game that saw four lead changes. The Chihuahuas struck first with an RBI single by Travis Buck in the first inning. Buck would leave one inning later with an apparent injury. The Aces scored twice on Blake Lalli’s two-run double in the fourth inning to take the lead.

Cody Decker’s three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth gave the Chihuahuas a 4-2 lead, but Reno came right back with two runs in the fifth on Cody Ross’s RBI single and Mike Jacobs’s sacrifice fly. The Aces scored the go-ahead run in the seventh when Didi Gregorius hit an RBI double. Reno added an insurance run when Jacobs pelted an RBI single past the shifted infield defense in the ninth.

The Chihuahuas have now lost two games in a row for the first time. Decker was 3-for-4 with three RBIs in the loss and was a double shy of hitting for the cycle.
