20-year-old seriously injured in single-vehicle crash early Monday

The El Paso Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigations (STI) unit investigated a serious traffic collision at 11300 McCombs and Gateway South at about 2:30 a.m. March 18, 2014.

Police say the investigation revealed that 20-year-old Miranda Ross, of the 5000 block of Ballinger, was driving a white 2014 Volkswagen Jetta south on McCombs allegedly at a high rate of speed approaching Gateway South.

The VW Jetta struck a light post at McCombs and Gateway South.

As a result of the collision Ross sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
