First Alert: Wind gusts up to 55mph Saturday night

We have issued a First Alert for Saturday. Winds will be the culprit. Gusts can be as high as 55 mph throughout the afternoon and evening. Sustained winds, however, will be from the Northwest between 10 and 25 mph.Temps for today look to be around 73 and 10 degrees cooler on Sunday.

Saturday afternoon thousands around the city, in South Central El Paso and Las Cruces lost power. El Paso Electric said a bird caused the outage, not weather.
