How to get your NCAA Tournament fix online

You can’t get away from work but want to keep up with how your teams are doing in the NCAA Tournament?

Here’s how to watch, according to gigaom.com:

The NCAA website will stream all 67 games, no matter whether they require authentication or not. Users have to log in with their cable credentials for the games that come from TBS & Co., but can start watching immediately without any hold-up for any CBS game. Live streams are also available onCBSSports.com and Bleacherreort.com. The NCAA’s iOS app, now available on iTunes, offers live streaming for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. The NCAA’s Android app brings live streaming of March Madness games to phones and tablets with Android version 4.0 and up. A special Kindle version of the app brings the same streams to Amazon’s Kindle Fire. The NCAA’s Windows app streams all games to Windows 8 phones and Windows 8.1 tablets and PCs. Audio live streams of the 67 games will be available through the TuneIn apps for iPhone, Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry, courtesy of WestWood One Sports.

Why do I need to log in?

Log in with your TV provider to get unlimited access to all live games from almost any smartphone, tablet, or computer. If you choose not to log in, you will have a temporary live video pass to watch live games.

How do I log in?

Click on the Select TV Provider button in the Left Rail to launch the login modal.
A screen will appear with a number of TV providers. Locate your TV provider, click the tile, and log in with your TV provider credentials.
If you do not see your TV provider listed, click on “View all TV Providers”. A larger alphabetical list will appear and you can scroll the list or you can use the search area in the top of the window.
If you do not see your TV provider listed, it is because it is not participating in the NCAA® March Madness Live™ program.
Why can I see some games and not others?

If you have not logged in via your TV provider, you will have access to all games during your temporary preview period with a live video pass. If you are attempting to watch a game being broadcast by TNT, TBS, or truTV and you have been messaged that your pass has expired, you will need to log in with your TV Provider username and password to view that game. However, you will still be able to view games broadcast on CBS without logging in.

If you have logged in and there are some games you cannot see, your television subscription may not include all of the networks on which the games are being broadcast. Contact your TV provider to gain access.

Why am I being asked to disable my pop-up blocker to log in?

In order to ensure the best possible experience, we ask that you disable your pop-up blocker so that we can keep you in the NCAA® March Madness Live™ application and log in through another window.

Why am I receiving security warnings when trying to log in?

In order for the application to run properly, it needs to access and manage data on your computer. You must allow the application to do so in order to access live video.

What if my TV Provider is not listed?

NCAA March Madness Live is only available through participating TV providers. If your TV provider is not listed, it is because it is not participating in this program.

How do I know on which network a game will be broadcast?

A game’s broadcaster can be seen by referencing the schedule page and game tile for a specific matchup. The broadcaster icon is located in the top left hand corner of the game tile.

A TV programming view of the schedule is also available by clicking ‘TV’ in the upper right of the schedule. This details each channel that the games are broadcast on and the associated times they will air.

What if I don’t log in?

If you have not logged in via your TV provider, you will have access to all games during the three hour live video pass. If you are attempting to watch a game being broadcast by TNT, TBS, or truTV and you have been messaged that your pass has expired, you will need to log in to view that game. However, you will still be able to view games broadcast on CBS without logging in.

On-demand video content will not count against the live video pass.

What if I don’t know my username and password for my TV service provider?

If you forgot your password and/or username, initiate the login process from the left rail by clicking on the ‘Select TV Provider’ button to launch the list of providers. Then click on your TV Provider. Follow your TV Provider’s instructions for recovering or resetting your password and/or username. NCAA® March Madness Live™ does not have access to this information. Please contact your TV provider for questions about your account username and password.

How do I know how much time I have remaining in my live video pass?

When you are watching live video, you will receive alerts reminding you how much time you have remaining in your three hour live video pass.

Please note: Live games broadcast on CBS do not count against your live video pass. As a result, you won’t see these alerts when you are watching a live game broadcast on CBS with NCAA® March Madness Live™.

What happens after I have used my live video pass?

Once your live video pass has been consumed, you will have to login to a watch live game broadcast on TNT, TBS, and truTV. CBS games will still be available to you within the application.

You can start the login process by tapping ‘Select TV Provider from the left navigation on any page.

Do I need to purchase NCAA® March Madness Live™?

No, you do not need to purchase 2014 NCAA® March Madness Live™. We are offering two ways to watch live video:
1. Login with your TV Provider to watch live games at no additional cost, or
2. Enjoy a temporary live video pass to watch live games.

Can I purchase NCAA® March Madness Live™ on a game-by-game basis?

No, NCAA® March Madness Live™ does not offer pay per view. However, as part of your television subscription, you can have access to live games.

I’ve logged in but there are some games I can’t see?

2014 NCAA March Madness games are carried on 4 networks: TNT, TBS, TruTV and CBS. It’s possible your TV provider package does not include all of these networks. Therefore, you would not be able to view a live game that is carried on a network that is not included in your TV provider package. Check your TV provider to see what networks are available to you.

Is there a limit to the number of devices that I can log in with?

You can typically log in on as many devices as you wish, however, TV providers may cap the number of times your username and password can be utilized to log in. Check with your TV provider for details.
