Southern Miss eliminates UTEP women’s basketball team from C-USA Tournament

The UTEP women’s basketball team has been eliminated from the C-USA Tournament in a 84-70 loss to Southern Miss in the semifinals.

UTEP’s Kayla Thornton had 21 points and became the school’s all-time leading scorer early in the game.

UTEP can still be invited to a post-season tournament.
