ABC-7 UPDATE: Man hit by teen dies from injuries
UPDATED 06.02.14 4:57 p.m.
El Paso Police Department officials said in a statement Monday afternoon that
the pedestrian struck on May 25 in Northeast El Paso has died.
The pedestrian has been identified as Daryl Eagan, 63, of the 9000 block of Dyer.
Police had arrested Geovanni Anguiano, 17, in connection with the crash, which occurred around 8:30 p.m.
Witnesses told police they saw a red truck strike Eagan.
Anguiano saw TV reports of the accident and went to the Northeast Regional Command Center where he turned himself in.
Anguiano was charged with Accident Involving Personal Injury or Death.
He’s been released from the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $25,000 bond.
