Costume shop catches fire in Las Cruces
A costume shop caught fire in Las Cruces late Wednesday night.
Firefighters responded just after 11 p.m. to a report of a building on fire on the 1200 block of West Picacho Avenue. That’s where “The Gen” costume shop is located.
Firefighters reported fire and smoke coming from the roof and front of the building. Firefighters were able to contain the fire within 20 minutes.
No one was in the building at the time of the fire and there were no reports of injures. The fire is under investigation and no damage amount has been determined.
