Lorenzo Garcia no longer in federal prison

Former El Paso School District Superintendent Lorenzo Garcia is not longer serving time in a federal prison, according to reports by the El Paso Times.

In 2012 Garcia pleases guilty to defrauding the district, and orchestrating a scheme to manipulate test scores.

He was serving his sentence at a prison in Pennsylvania, but it appears he has been moved.

The El Paso Times is reporting he has been moved to a halfway house.

Garcia is scheduled to be released November 1.
