Man arrested after crashing truck into ditch

A man was taken into custody after crashing his truck into a drainage ditch near Vinton.

The incident happened around 2:00 a.m. Friday morning near I-10 and Vinton. Sheriff’s deputies say the man was going north on the interstate when he veered off the road, crossed through North Desert, and fell into the ditch. The man refused to be taken to a hospital. Sheriff’s deputies took him into custody on suspicion he may have been driving while drunk.
