Hundreds place deposit for El Paso Triple-A baseball tickets
A source close to MountainStar Sports tells ABC-7 the organization received at least 650 season ticket deposits Thursday, the first day they were available to people who subscribed to get season ticket information from the Triple-A baseball team.
Spokeswoman Elizabeth Margo tells us the volume “exceeded expectations.”
The public will be able to reserve season tickets beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29.
All it takes to reserve a place in line is a $50 per ticket, fully-refundable deposit.
“We have been overwhelmed by the positive response to Triple-A baseball and to El Paso’s future team,” said Alan Ledford, President of MountainStar Sports Group, the group responsible for bringing a Triple-A baseball team to El Paso. Ledford said local fans are providing feedback and connecting to the team through its website, www.ElPasoTripleA.com. “We have seen a tremendous interest in the entire process,” said Ledford. “El Pasoans seem to be excited and energized about Triple-A baseball arriving in 2014, and they want to know about everything — from the ballpark design to concessions to Season Ticket availability. This is a great start for El Paso’s team.”
Ledford went on to say, “We want to offer this opportunity to reward those that would like to commit early with the first chance to reserve their place to select Season Tickets for what we believe will be the most exciting, affordable family entertainment product in El Paso.”
Fans who are already signed up, or who sign up now at www.ElPasoTripleA.com for email updates about El Paso’s Triple-A team will be able to reserve their place on the Waiting List early, before the general public, beginning Thursday, January 24 at 8:00 a.m. Mountain Time. All deposits received will be time- and date-stamped to guarantee a place, in the order received, on the Waiting List.
“The benefit of this no-risk refundable deposit is that you reserve your place on the Waiting List to select your seating location, premium seating options, price options, and the amenities most important to you. An early deposit can better your chance of purchasing ideal seating and amenities suited to fit your specific needs and preferences for your Triple-A experience,” said Ledford.
The form to submit your deposit will be available for online or mail-in submission at www.ElPasoTripleA.com. Deposits can be made by check or credit card. Fans can also call 915-533-2273 (533-BASE) for further information. Ledford emphasized that the $50 deposit is for each individual Season Ticket, and will be applied to the Season Ticket purchase. The deposit is fully refundable at any time, however any refund will result in forfeiture of that place on the Waiting List.
According to Ledford, ticket prices, specific location opportunities, and other Season Ticket details, including special rights and amenities for Season Ticket Holders, will be announced in the coming months.
