Rep. Pearce introduces Organ Mountains bill

Prior to the Organ mountains becoming a national monument, local leaders were worried that drug smugglers and other criminals would freely roam on the lands while the hands of law enforcement were tied.

Republican Congressman Steve Pearce. who represents Las Cruces, says he has introduced a bill in Washington to fix those concerns. Pearce says the bill would allow all federal, state, and local law enforcement to have access to monument lands.
