Chihuahuas to be presented with 2014 Ballpark of the Year award tonight
Joe Mock, from Baseballparks.com and writer for USA Today, is in El Paso for a special presentation tonight.
Mock will present the El Paso Chihuahuas, the City of El Paso, and Populous Architecture Group with a plaque recognizing Southwest University Park as the Best Ballpark in America for 2014.
The presentation will occur in the middle of the third inning, according to Mock.
“Southwest University Park has had a tremendous year of great games, big crowds and some of the best concessions in the Minors. This award will be icing on an already successful cake!” Mock wrote on his website.
