Warmer temps, scattered storms to start week

Scattered storms are still possible Monday through Tuesday across the region, with the stronger tropical moisture from once-Hurricane Norbert farther west over Arizona.

Rain chances today sit at 30 percent in El Paso and Las Cruces, late afternoon through the early evening.

Today temperatures will also climb higher than Sunday. Sunday cloud coverage kept temperatures well below average in the 70s. El Paso is forecast to hit a high of 85 degrees. The high in Las Cruces will be 83 degrees.

Late today and this evening a few areas of heavier rain are possible. However, like we saw this weekend, it will be a spotty potential.
