Body spotted floating in canal near Rio Grande
Border Patrol agents spotted a body floating in the canal parallel to the Rio Grande near 2 nd Street and Cesar Chavez Highway around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, fire department and Border Patrol officials confirmed.
The body has not been recovered since it once again disappeared inside the canal. A dive team has not been called out.
