Chihuahuas’ Jason Lane called up by Padres, Jorge Reyes traded to Braves

El Paso Chihuahuas left-handed pitcher Jason Lane has been called up by the San Diego Padres.

Lane and Jeff Francoeur were featured in a New York Times article this week about the two players trying to get back to the majors.

In other Chihuahuas transaction news, right-handed pitcher Jorge Reyes was traded to the Atlanta Braves organization.

Reyes was the centerpiece of a classic practical joke on Francoeur by Cody Decker and the rest of the Chihuahuas team. Decker had Reyes pretend to be deaf for several weeks of spring training to trick Francouer. Watch decker’s video about the joke at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2llUpTmIkdc
