17-year-old junkyard employee killed in forklift accident
The El Paso Sheriff’s Department confirmed a 17-year-old employee of a junkyard was killed in a forklift accident.
It happened on the 1300 block of Darrington Road in far east El Paso County at about 6:30 p.m.
Officials said it is still unclear how the accident happened.
A spokesman said the victim was conscious after he was hit, but died later at a hospital.
The victim’s name was not released.
