Man arrested for allegedly trying to break into San Elizario church
A 22-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly trying to break into a church in San Elizario.
On the afternoon of July 18, 2014, El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to a burglary of business in progress at a church at 1556 San Elizario Rd.
Sheriff’s officials say Hector Estrada, for unknown reasons, looked through a church window and allegedly threatened the lives of the two people inside the church.
When they wouldn’t let him inside, Estrada used an object to try and break into the church.
Estrada was arrested about a third of a mile away when his vehicle stopped. Deputies say Estrada was intoxicated.
