Watch out where, how you park; Code Compliance looking for violations

The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department would like to remind the public of common residential parking code violations.
These include:
-Parking on the wrong side of the street
– Parking on sidewalks
– Parking in front of a driveway
– Parking on easements
– Parking within 30 feet of a stop sign
– Parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant

In addition, be mindful of the following:
Off-Street Parking
Vehicles shall not be parked in the front or side yard of a home unless the parking surfacing is composed of concrete, asphalt or another comparable dust-free surface.

Commercial Vehicles
Parking more than one commercial vehicle on a residential property is prohibited. Oversized commercial vehicles parked or stored in residential areas should not exceed two tons capacity, 26 feet in length, 9 feet in height, and 7-foot-8 inches in width.

Violations of Municipal City Code may result in citations and/or fines of up
to $225. Individuals can report violations by calling 3-1-1.
