KVIA-TV to broadcast Canutillo’s state semifinal game on Friday; Canutillo ISD cancels classes
KVIA-TV Channel 7 will broadcast the Canutillo vs. Ennis state semifinal game from Lubbock on Friday.
The game is set to kick off at 6 p.m. El Paso time and will be broadcast on Channel 7 with Rick Cabrera and Louie Del Rio providing play-by-play commentary.
The game also will be livestreamed on kvia.com.
Friday’s classes in the Canutillo Independent School District are cancelled to give students and employees the chance to travel to Lubbock to see the Canutillo Eagles play in the Texas State Football Semifinals.
All schools and offices will be closed for business on Friday with students and employees making up the day on Jan. 19, 2015.
“We are all very excited about the football team and the unprecedented run they have had in the playoffs,” said Superintendent Dr. Pedro Galaviz. “We know that many of our students and our employees want to support the team, so we are happy to be able to provide this opportunity.”
Pre-game tickets are being sold at Canutillo High School’s front office for $7 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets will be $10 for both adults and students at the gate in Lubbock.
