Time Warner Cable begins offering some basic cable channels in digital format only

If you’re a Time Warner Cable subscriber in El Paso you may have noticed some of your channels aren’t where they used to be.

Time Warner Cable released the following statement about the changes:

“Time Warner Cable is moving towards a higher quality, digital only experience to provide better picture and sound, more HD channels, and more robust internet speeds. Delivering channels in digital format is one way we continue to improve the quality of our service. Beginning on or about January 29, 2013, KTDO, KSCE, ION, Fox Deportes, Golf, C-SPAN, truTV, EWTN, CMT, LMN and OWN began being delivered in digital format only.

This will not affect any TVs our customers currently have connected to a digital set-top box. If they want to view these channels on direct-connect analog TVs (and similar devices), customers may request a Digital Adapter free of charge through November 30, 2013. Beginning December 1, 2013 each adapter will cost 99 cents a month. Customers can visit twc.com/digitaladapter to order Digital Adapters to be shipped to their home free of charge. Or, if they prefer they can request a professional installation that is available for a onetime charge.

We’re committed to bringing high-quality entertainment and communications services you deserve. We appreciate the business and thank our customers for choosing Time Warner Cable.
