UTEP Basketball wins against Xavier

The UTEP Miners men’s basketball team defeated Xavier Friday afternoon.

Xavier was undefeated in the semifinals of the Wooden Legacy Tournament in California.

UTEP trailed 38-33 at the half. UTEP came out strong, however, in the second half.

This could arguably be Tim Floyd’s biggest win in five seasons as UTEP’s coach over a school that has been to 12 NCAA tournaments in the past 13 years, including two regional finals.
