Various city council meetings scheduled in Las Cruces

Las Cruces residents will have the opportunity to learn about and discuss issues with their city representatives in scheduled meetings for the month of December.

“This is a really good opportunity for residents in these city council districts to interact with their representatives and discuss current issues,” said Jamey Rickman, community liaison for the City of Las Cruces. Rickman added that by attending these meetings, Las Crucens actively help improve their community.

Below is the list of scheduled meetings sorted by district.

District 1

Councilor Miguel Silva

All meetings are from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main St., Swartz Room.

Tuesday, Dec. 2
Wednesday, Dec. 3
Thursday, Dec. 4

District 4

Councilor Nathan Small

These meetings will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the following locations:

Tuesday, Dec. 2, Railroad Museum, 351 Mesilla Street
Thursday, Dec. 4, Henry Benavidez Community Center, 1045 McClure Rd.
Tuesday, Dec. 16, El Caldito Soup Kitchen, 999 W. Amador Ave.
Thursday, Dec. 18, City Hall, Council Chambers, 700 N. Main St.

District 5

Councilor Gill Sorg

These meetings will be from 6 – 8 p.m. at the following locations:

Tuesday, Dec. 2, Mesilla Valley Hospital, 3751 Del Rey Blvd.
Tuesday, Dec. 9, Sage Caf, 6121 Reynolds Drive
