2nd floor renovations of Times building nearly ready to house City Hall employees

The second floor of the El Paso Times building is just about ready for City Hall employees to move in.

Workers are putting the finishing touches on the second floor before the mayor, city manager, city representatives, and legal department move in on a staggered schedule starting in early March.

Renovation work began on the building in December with up to 70 workers working sometimes 12 hour days to get the job done.

Renovations of the first floor of the El Paso Times building are not expected to begin until Times employees move out of the building this month.
